Amber - Maternity Photos
This session almost didn't happen thanks to torrential downpours the week we were aiming for, and a dress that had holes in it. We rescheduled for the following week, and after fixing the dress with a needle and thread, we hoped our patience would be rewarded with a beautiful evening. Oh, and it was.
Amber lives in Parksville, and I agreed to meet her in her neck of the woods so, at 36 weeks pregnant, she wouldn't have to drive to the Comox Valley. I was unsure on where to take the photos 1.5 hours south of my usual spots. Amber suggested Little Mountain & Neck Point Park. After looking these locations up, I was sold.
Ummmm, Little Mountain, you are beautiful. And so is this Mama. WOW, just wow.
We hopped in the car and drove to Neck Point Park. This park is especially special to Amber, as her & her husband got married at the neighboring lagoon, Piper's Lagoon. Photos at Neck Point required some serious commitment from 36 weeks pregnant Amber - there was a LOT of walking required!
We hoped for the perfect golden hour, and the perfect golden hour is exactly what we got
But what we didn't know was, mother nature hadn't even show us her best display of the evening.
Sunsets like these don't happen for us very often on the east coast of Vancouver Island.
It was dark at this point, but we drove over to Piper's Lagoon in the moonlight - not only did Amber & her husband get married there, but their 2 year old is named after the lagoon.
Amber, thank you for sharing such a memorable evening with me!
